Saroot Supasuthivech seeks to reinterpret various regions and sites through diverse research methodologies. His work examines not only geographical and political facts but also the sense of place shaped by memory and discourse, exploring the distortion of history and the dissolution of identity. He creates holistic sensory experiences by combining installation, imagery, and sound to evoke the intangible aura of socio-historical sites. In particular, his surreal spaces bathed in fluorescent light serve to awaken forgotten histories and memories. Through his study of ritualistic elements, his artistic practice becomes a ritual of remembrance itself. He has participated in group exhibitions including Passages (NTU Centre for Contemporary Art Singapore, 2023) and Watch and Chill: Streaming Art to Your Homes (MMCA, 2021), and was selected for EARLY YEARS PROJECT #2 chosen by the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre in 2017. His works are held in the collections of the Singapore Art Museum (SAM) and MAIIAM Contemporary Art Museum.
