Honam Kim focuses on creating devices that explore the relationship between sound and materiality. Since childhood, he has dreamed of becoming an instrument maker rather than a musician, which reflects his deep interest in designing interfaces. Through his devices, he explores ways to communicate with diverse people and to discover new uses and meanings in technology. His sound interfaces evolve through collaboration, functioning as instruments or optical devices and capturing the medium-specific potential of electronic devices. He visualizes hidden circuit technologies through spatial installations, revealing the concealed operations of machines in a highly technologized society and transforming the act of observing how machines work into an aesthetic experience. He has participated in exhibitions including 2084: A Space Odyssey (Culture Station Seoul 284, 2024), 2023 ZER01NE DAY : 01 HABITAT (Sfactory Seongsu, 2023), and MMCA Cheongju Project 2022: Urban Resonance (MMCA Cheongju, 2022).
