I am also a Toy, is a sensory-focused art program designed for children aged 5 to 9.
Just as Nam June Paik used television as a tool for artistic experimentation, participants directly observe his iconic works, TV Garden(1974) and TV Fish(1975), and explore new possibilities for TV as a medium using interactive worksheets. Children can touch and feel TVs made of soft flour dough to create their own artworks, and then engage in shadow puppet play with their creations to freely imagine and express themselves.
Through play and sensory experience, this program allows participants to share their ideas and naturally understand Nam June Paik’s artistic world.
