
In conjunction with the exhibition Play It Again, Paik, Nam June Paik Art Center presents Random Access Hall screenings. The exhibition is an exhibition that showcases interview footage of Nam June Paik from the video archive of the Nam June Paik Art center alongside his artworks. The fourth screening program is Nam June Paik: Edited for Television, broadcast by New York's WNET. Nam June Paik: Edited for Television is a program aired on VTR (Video Television Review), beginning with Nam June Paik conversing with art critic Calvin Tomkins and host Russell Connor in his Soho studio in New York. Calvin Tomkins asks about the meaning of the ceiling-mounted television work Fish Flies on Sky, but Nam June Paik responds meaningfully that it is the core, discussing John Cage and Zen Buddhism. The footage implicitly explores Nam June Paik's artistic philosophy, discussing the relationship between humans and technology while showing Robot K-456, and reflecting on life in New York while presenting Suite 212. Performances such as John Cage's 26'1.1499'' for A String Player with Charlotte Moorman, and TV Bra for a Living Sculpture. For this exhibition, it has been edited into videos including Etude for Piano Forte, Paik-Abe Video Synthesizer, Magnet TV, and Zen for TV.
