Bik Van der Pol is a group made by two Dutch artists Liesbeth Bik and Jos van der Pol, in 1995, presenting insights into the distribution and communication of information. We are living in a deluge of information, within which meanings of objects and events are ever-changing. Bik Van der Pol provides a new discourse of how we interpret surrounding environments, posing questions of knowledge, history, and reconstitution of memories. This work presents the sentence, “ridiculous ideas will finally succeed.”
