Safety Cone is the work of Dennis Oppenheim, an American conceptual artist who explored various media and forms such as earth art, performance, installation, and public art. Oppenheim has transformed the scale of objects that can be easily seen in everyday life or made sculptures placed in unfamiliar layout, one of which is Safety Cone. The cone is intended to change the landscape of the street and awaken viewers' consciousness by expanding the size of the safety cone to over 5 meters on the road and placing it in public places on an architectural level. At present, three Safety Cones are installed in the front yard of Nam June Paik Art Center and on the hill behind it.
