6 Drawings on Beer Tabs is a set of drawings on both sides of six Hannen Alt beer mats, which shows Nam June Paik’s way of sketching out his ideas instantly. Paik’s typical antenna-clad televisions are illustrated with female legs with genitals at the center of the screen, and some are depicted with eyes and eyebrows only. On another coaster, two women are dancing behind what looks like scanning lines with the title “global groove” written below. Also, repeated words and sentences such as “Tony Stoss—perhaps a typo of the Swiss art historian Toni Stooss,” as well as “for free,” “and “kimchi” are written in English, Korean, and Chinese.
