Eclipse is a work by Shuya Abe. After removing the inner parts of an antique television with a round-shaped screen, Abe recreated an eclipse of the sun on the newly-equipped quadrangular screen by manipulating the inner PCB and the scanning lines. Abe, an engineer who had worked with Nam June Paik, expresses Paik’s world that he realized during his collaboration with Paik.
